Five students from Karlstad University collaborate with POJI on the next generation of the Landkrabban module-handling tool.
Easier to lift housing modules in ports
Right now we are getting help from five students on the course "Sustainable Product Development" at Karlstad University to further develop a product we have constructed called "Landkrabban". A lifting device that makes it easier and faster to lift housing modules on and off boats and lorries at, for example, a port.
Tasked with creating the next generation of lifting yoke
To make the product even faster and easier to use the students have been given the task of developing a concept for the creation of the next generation of lifting yoke.
"It's really fun and exciting to get to do something real, and not just flick through books. Since it's a course we need to spend some time meeting the course goals, but I would gladly have put even more focus on the actual work," says Eric Johansson, who is the project manager for the student work.
